Made with wild silk, which feels more a cross between silk and wool as it's the non violent alternative to traditional silk. Silk is made by silkworms which spin cocoons around themselves for protection during their transformation into moths. Once collected, cocoons are typically boiled, killing the worm to 1) prevent damaging the silk fibers when the moth emerges and 2) soften the silk fibers.
