Emilio Pucci for Braniff 1965 Stewardess Uniform with Pink Skirt Suit, Velveteen Print Hat, and Tote Bag sequin top Additional photos are available uponOn July 19th, 1965, the Italian designer Emilio Pucci was commissioned to design the stewardess outfits for Braniff International. Pucci named his collection "Gemini IV" after NASA's Gemini space program. Pucci created what he called the "Air Strip" which was comprised of layers that were to be removed in stages during flight. Within this collection was a reversible green gabardine coat, space bubble helmets, pillbox hats in Pucci geometric patterns,
