The key steps are understanding what type of injection youre receiving (subcutaneous), removing the metal piece from the vial and cleaning it with an alcohol pad, filling a TB syringe with the recommended dose of air before inserting into rubber stopper on top of vial containing vitamins ,pulling up vitamins into syringe until all desired amount has been reached then priming needle by pushing medication out until tip prior to injection site cleaning ,choosing fatty area around belly button as ideal location due its easy access and good absorption rate then properly clean area prior administering shot subq ,removing needle from area but do not rub site after administration ,apply band-aid over spot where shot was administered afterwards so that no bacteria enters open wound lastly monitor injected spot over next 48 hours just in case any redness swelling pain occurs during that period which could indicate allergic reaction or infection if any these symptoms appear consult doctor immediately
