Multiple clinical trials in photoaged skin (sun damage) have shown that topical GHK-Cu formulations improve skin appearance including reductions in fine lines and wrinkles, improvement in skin firmness and elasticity, enhancement of skin texture and smoothness, increase in skin thickness (reversing age-related dermal atrophy), improvement in skin clarity and reduction in hyperpigmentation, and overall rejuvenated appearance

This natural decrease is a major reason why skin texture changes, color shifts, and wrinkles begin to form as we age

However, neither BAL fluid nor intracellular GSH, GSSG, and GSH:GSSG correlated with BAL eosinophils or any other inflammatory cell, suggesting eosinophilia plays a lesser role in contributing to higher extracellular/BAL fluid GSSG than epithelial cells do (Supplemental Tables 3 and 4)
