The sister ships began sailing in 1913 14 when traveling by ship was the easiest way to reach cities around the Great Lakes. Routes maps show the NORTH AMERICAN's Detroit to Buffalo route while the SOUTH AMERICAN handled Duluth to Buffalo business. Color photos show the Dining Room, Binnacle Bar, Grand Salon, a suite,
