Nieuwenkamp Art deco The collection of art objectsWijnand Otto Jan Nieuwenkamp (1874 1950), descendant of an Amsterdam shipowners' family, was extremely versatile in artistic terms. Most admirers know him as a graphic artist and painter, but he was also a gifted architect, shipbuilder, writer, explorer, art collector and ethnographer. He was very productive and bequeathed many thousands of meticulously executed drawings, etchers, woodcuts, lithographs and oil paintings. Nieuwenkamp gained inspiration
