Black Onyx Crystal Bracelet Gold Obsidian almost watery white that flashesBlack onyx an even, depthless black with a glassy polish, the chalcedony the ancient world carved into seals and cameos. No flash; the appeal is the pure black and its cool weight. Onyx is microcrystalline quartz, the straight banded kin of agate. The all black bead is its black layer polished alone, taking a deep even shine. Its Greek name means fingernail, for the pale translucence of the lighter bands the Romans cut against it.
